APPLIED KINESIOLOGY

Kinesiology is another name for muscle testing. Kinesiology was discovered in the 1960s by George Goodheart, a chiropractor who developed a system in which the muscles and surrounding nerves are manipulated to alleviate ordinary aches and pains and also to diagnose and treat organic diseases. He discovered that there was a relationship with the meridians and major organs in addition to the muscles. Goodheart called his system Applied Kinesiology.

After these powerful initial applications, kinesiology has continued to expand over the years to test many areas of the body as well as how the body is affected by food and other substances. Kinesiology is also used to determine how well one handles emotional, mental and spiritual stress.

HOW DOES KINESIOLOGY WORK?

Muscle testing is a form of biofeedback. To perform kinesiology, a particular muscle is held in a contracted state. Then pressure is applied to this stiffened muscle. If the muscle holds or "locks", it is considered a positive feedback response. For example, if we had the testee think about her weight and the muscle went weak (unlocked), that would indicate a negative response to the subject of her weight.

Applied Kineisiology is a growing and most interesting development in natural health care. It is a non-invasive painless method of testing for allergies, food sensitivities, and for weaknesses of areas of the body . Muscle Testing can also be helpful for testing Vitamins, Minerals, Herbs and Nutritional Supplements to determine which products may be best suited for each persons body type and individual needs.

Muscle Testing is used to find out how well energy is flowing within the body. A muscle that tests weak indicates some blockage, constriction or imbalance in the energy flow, and by testing specific muscles we can identify the meridian that runs through it and therefore area or organ in the body that has the blockage.

Allergy Testing is done by a sample of testing the food, supplement or other substance. If a product or substance is disagreeable to the body, the energy system becomes weak. By testing the resistance and muscle strength of the arms or legs, we are able to detect whether the food or supplement has a positive or negative impact on the body. It is also possible to determine if there is a deficiency of a particular nutrient, natural supplement or food group.
